手竿类
一、断竿梢的情况：
1、断竿梢1~2cm，这种情况基本都不是上鱼断的，一般情况下是在装、拆主线的时候不小心弄断的。
2、断竿梢1~10cm，这种情况一般是因为主线缠在竿梢头部用力提竿造成的。

还有一种断竿现象则是出于钓手的习惯和条件反射，原本单手提竿，中鱼起竿时鱼会向外冲刺，此时钓手的另一只手突然向手把节的中上部握竿，其目的是把竿抓牢，但这样会在手的上部突然爆断，这样做是突然减少钓竿整体受力部分而导致断竿。
六、钓竿内壁掉皮：
海竿类
钓友在使用海竿、抛竿等，为了抛得更远，弄个大铅坠，也不管钓竿的负荷，钓竿不断都很难。
如何解决：每支钓竿都有标识铅坠最大值，使用钓竿承受范围内的铅坠。
二、钓竿崁合起皮：
这种情况是收抛竿时用力过大，导环之间相互碰撞产生的。
如何解决：先收粗节再收细节，收竿时手法温柔。
正确用竿方式
钓竿是抽出来的，不是甩出来的。你是钓鱼的，不是耍酷的。(甩出来卡节就不要抱怨)
中鱼后应先遛鱼，不宜硬拉或者猛提钓竿。（质量再好的竿也经不住强力拉扯）
新手钓友们，6.3米以上的台钓竿都是握在手把往上20-30cm处，然后用胳膊肘顶住手把。（不要再说你的竿一个手拿不起来）有些竿是重，但是不可能重到提不起来的程度。
鱼入抄网后，赶紧把竿放下来，入了抄网还把竿举的老高，鱼一个翻身啪断了01、02节。你说这是鱼的问题还是竿的问题……
新手不会用支架的可以百度看一下视频，不要把竿插进水里一半，也不要把竿梢成大炮，抬的老高。（特殊地理环境除外）
钓竿用完后，干抹布擦净水，到家后晾干。如果没时间就不要把堵前堵上。（带水堵着前后堵，然后又放在车里暴晒的，起泡了就不要怨竿子质量不好）
钓竿的常用材料分两种，一是玻璃钢，它的特点是拉伸强度高、弹性系数高。二是碳素纤维，它的特点是强度高、耐高温、轻量化。所以在选购鱼竿时应根据对象鱼及钓法不同选择合适自己的钓竿。
